Original Irish Coffee

The Original Irish coffee is a classic cocktail with a simple original recipe. It necessitates the use of four common ingredients: The combination of a smooth Irish whiskey and a rich black coffee that has been sweetened and topped with cream is divine.
Joe Sheridan developed this recipe in Ireland in the early 1940s.
If you use a good Irish whiskey and stick to the recipe, you’ll see why this classic is regarded as one of the best cocktails of all time. It’s ideal for a chilly evening and makes a great after-dinner drink.

To preheat a footed mug or a mug, fill it halfway with hot water and then empty it. Into a warmed glass, pour piping hot coffee until it's about 3/4 full. Stir in the brown sugar until it has completely dissolved. Whisk in the Irish whiskey. By pouring gently over the back of the spoon, create a collar of whipped heavy cream. Serve immediately.
